Radiology Information Systems

This project focuses on the implementation of Effective, Useful, and Usable Radiological Information Systems (RIS). It also focuses on the designing and implementation of a prototype RIS platform for efficient examination requisition and faster provision of medical image interpretation reports.

The aims of the project are as follows:

  • To systematically evaluate popular Free and Open Source RIS platforms and frameworks
  • To gather a comprehensive set of requirements for designing and implementing a
    prototype RIS platform
  • To design and implement a usable, useful and interoperable prototype RIS platform
  • To systematically evaluate the usability and usefulness of the prototype RIS
    platform
