Our team members Andrew Shawa and Malaizyo Gabriel Muzumala were in attendance at MICCAI 2024 and have safely returned. They were able to attend thanks to the generous support of MICCAI through their African travel grants. The 2 participated in various workshops and events and created valuable networks in industry and academia who will serve the project in the future.
Andrew Shawa had a poster presentation at the MICCAI Meets Africa event, which had speakers from all over the world that are interested in research around the African medical space.
Malaizyo Gabriel Muzumala had an oral presentation at the Applications of Medical AI (AMAI) event. The event had speakers from all over the world with interest in applying AI in medicine.
