Elijah Chileshe recently presented his research titled "Exploring AI-Driven Innovations for Accelerating Radiology Reporting in Zambia" at the CyberTech Conference 2024, held on September 25th. The conference, themed "Spearheading Solutions for Secure Futures," provided a platform to address critical issues in technology.
His research explores the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), speech-to-text technology, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate and expedite the radiology reporting process. By applying Prompt Engineering and Fine Tuning, the goal is to reduce reporting times and improve patient outcomes, ultimately alleviating the burden on Zambia’s limited number of radiologists.
This innovative approach is expected to enhance healthcare efficiency and provide faster diagnoses.
