Large-Scale Analysis of Medical Image Metadata

This paper offers an ongoing exploration of the systematic analysis of Medical Image Metadata encoded using the   Digital   Imaging   and   Communications   in   Medicine(DICOM)   standard.   The   paper   carefully   looks   at   the organization  of  diverse  medical  image  data,  the  complex navigation of ethical considerations involving data authorization and anonymization and the subsequent intricate processing and metadata extraction procedures. The research is  part  of  a  larger project that aims to address the pressing need for radiologists in the Republic of Zambia.
